
The procedure for residence registration in 2022
At the end of 2021, the Law of Ukraine On Provision of Public (Electronic Public) Services for Residence Declaration and Registration in Ukraine was adopted. This Law establishes new rules for residence registration. The changes affected the list of documents, as well as the order of their submission.
In became possible to submit documents in electronic form.
At this stage, residence registration through the web portal or Diya mobile application works in test mode. So far the service is only available in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Rivne, Lutsk, Vinnytsia and Kryvyi Rih. Prerequisites for online registration are:
Residence registration in a home of another owner is only possible with the owner's consent, which can also be obtained electronically through the Diya app.

The following documents are submitted for residence registration via Administrative Service Centres:

Persons aged under 18 must obtain parental consent to register. Persons aged under 14 must present a birth certificate instead of a passport.
Passport stamps cancelled
The new legislation does not provide for affixing passports with stamps in order to register residence. Data on residence registration will be entered into an electronic register. If necessary, you may separately apply for a certificate of residence registration.
